Frastagliate

FRASTAGLIATE is similar to MALFADINE but is much easier to create at home. Malfadine has ruffled edges where frastagliate is cut with serrated edges that can be created with a simple pastry cutter.

Frastagliate are made with durum wheat semolina flour and egg. This makes them a very robust pasta with great texture. We believe that it originated in Sardinia where it is called PILLUS.

These pasta are commonly served with pale, creamy or cheese sauces.
