CAMPANELLE (bell flower), TROMPETTI (trumpet), TORCHIO or GIGLI (lilies), this trumpet shaped pasta goes by a variety of names.
Campanelle have fluted, petal-like edges and is hollow in the center. They are said to have originated in Tuscany, as the emblem of Florence is the lily (gigli).
These pasta shapes are great served with creamy, vegetable or pancetta based sauces.
