Tomato and Garlic Gigli works well with any type of pasta dish: salads, baked pasta dishes, rich pasta sauces, fish, meats, vegetables and legumes. We enjoy receiving photographs showing us how you prepare our pasta. There seems to be no end to your creative powers so keep them coming!

Our Tomato and Garlic Gigli Pasta For Salad is made using real tomato and garlic. These ingredients are combined and pureed before being added to semolina durum wheat flour and mixed to create the dough.

Once the dough is ready, it is extruded through a bronze die which gives each gigli a lightly rough surface. This ensures that the maximum amount of sauce clings to the pasta for an enhanced pasta eating experience.

How to prepare Pasta Nostra Gigli for baked pasta recipe

  1. Prepare a large mixing bowl of iced water and set aside.

  2. Bring some lightly salted water to a rapid boil and cook the gigli for 2 minutes.

  3. Drain the pasta and pour it into the iced water to cool and stop the pasta cooking further.

  4. Drain the pasta again and toss in olive oil, which will ensure the pasta stays separated.

  5. Once your baked pasta dish is ready for the oven, you will need to cover it tightly with aluminum foil. Once your dish is cooked, uncover and leave in the oven for a further 5 minutes, add your cheese toppings at this stage.

  6. Remove from the oven and allow to stand for 5 minutes before serving.
